I don’t know why, I’ve just really loved that image lately.
Hello all! I’m Inushinde, proprietor of the not-so-illustrious Shinde Iie Anime Blog & Review, and as can probably be surmised from the introduction, I’ve had my writing talents bought out (asked for nicely) by a soulless corporate machine (Scamp) for all the booze and whores I could ask for (absolutely no compensation whatsoever), in something that you could say will “cart drive” the competition, which is a euphemism for whatever you want it to be. For those that don’t know me, I like to write as much as possible in painful depth about the series that I cover, in addition to random episodes or periodic reviews here and there, through the practice of inserting as many crappy analogies as I possibly can while still remaining vaguely coherent. To summarize my thoughts on the matter, I think writing about foreign cartoons should be an exercise in creativity, rather than a routine in drudgery.
My favorite anime are those that either make me think, that manage to contrast happy visuals with dark themes, or that give me plenty to pick apart. As such, Mawaru Penguindrum and Shiki rank comfortably on the top of my favorite series list, alongside such stalwart classics as Welcome to the NHK and Detroit Metal City. Also, Aria’s there, which is pretty fucking jarring. Alternatively, a show just has to be as stupid as physically possible to win my heart, so junk like Aquarion Evol and Upotte holds a very special place in my heart. In short, if it either makes me ponder my existence or involves mechs crying tears of happiness, I’m all over that shit.
As for my non-anime watching activities, I enjoy watching trashy films usually falling under the broad category of horror, or listening to music that could be categorized the same way by those of tastes more discerning than mine. That about sums me up in the briefest of terms, so look forward to me horribly mangling the context of your favorite shows on the one, the only, the Cart Driver.

When scamp said there were big changes I wasn’t expecting all this! How many people are coming abroad? Scamp, Shinmaru and Inushinde – It’s already a battle field.
And curiously, will you still be continuing with your individual blog as well? Or are you shifting all your content here?
I don’t know if I’ll keep it up, but I’ll try if I have something to say that I feel would just take up much-needed space here.
Oh great, my favourite Anime blog is changing, I didn’t ask for this, bring back the things I am used to, don’t leave us, Scamp, leave Britney alone, Penguindrum sucks, Death Note sucks, too, on the other hand this guy is very similar, he, too, likes sucking anime, good job.
The more terrible an anime is, the more liable I’ll be to watch it. We are two birds of the same cloth, if proverbial eggs could be made of cloth.
Aw, and I thought I was being original with my blog dedicated to watching terrible anime.
Nothing personal to anyone, but I’m not entirely sure I’m liking this development.
You are correct to be worried. It is our personal mission to murder The Cart Driver.
Just don’t murder Scamp.
No promises.
*sharpens knives*
Scamp isn’t the Cart Driver. Lelouch is.
Wait…Lelouch was the Cart Driver? Why did nobody tell me! That completely changes everything!
The Cart Driver is getting some great writers. Feels a bit odd to see people joining the crew, but hey, it seems like this blog will become a team of awesome people.
Hope you have fun here!
Considering I’m with the likes of Shinmaru and Scamp, I’d say that I have a pretty good crew to work with, even if Scamp’s taste in shows isn’t as good for lacking Aria.
;_;
Don’t worry, I’ll still maybe eke out a living aside from cart driving. Buck up!
Oh god, I was joking when I said The Cart Driver was becoming the one solitary bastion for terribad fans!
Seriously though, congrats on the promotion/death sentence! It’s a pretty great idea to bring a bunch of similarly minded (& probably underappreciated) writers under one roof. Seems like a nice continuation of the original Tourney goal to have readers discover new blogs. Does this mean Shinde Lie is now dead, or will you be working double time?
Now to wait for Kadian…
Shinde Iie’s demise is debatable, but The Cart Driver will be my main base of operation from here on out. So working one and a half time for two blogs is very much a possibility.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised that Scamp is doing all the ‘hard’ work of gathering writers that I might like into one blog I am subscribed to, instead of me having to find all these blogs myself.
Though it’s a bit worrying that while the number of writers has tripled, the anime-related output has screeched to a halt, or at least, not yet visibly picked up the pace again.
Well, over half the writers are at AX right now. w
Being away from anime for a decent length of time tends to lessen the output, I’m afraid. Look forward to much more in the future on my part, at least.
Welcome, comrade! I shall see you today at Anime Expo!
That you did, and it was every bit as magical as I thought it’d be.
We are the Cart. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
This is great.
Very astute observation. I’ve always felt the Cart Driver could use some extra Aria-ing from my end.
How many more writers will Scamp conscript into his dastardly machinations? Because we all know once you add writers, you’re never satisfied with the number you have. He’ll add even more! Not two, not three, not four, not five…
He won’t rest until he has the entirety of terribad under his dastardly yoke. It’ll be like the X-Men, except with more awfulness and laser cannons.
Nice introduction. I hope you’ll come down to the comment section to fight battles down here too.
First question to our new Tsar. Do you think the initial incest angle detracts from Penguindrum or enhances it?
Next you’ll be telling me that Draggle is coming on board.
I wouldn’t mind that in the least.
Welcome, Scamp’s world domination has begun, beware all who oppose him.
Well you seem to have better taste in anime than Scamp…
Is this the expendables of the Anime Bloggersphere?!
I thought that was Sea Slugs?
Seems like a consolidation geared to challenge for Aniblog Tourney 2014.
AW SHITE–
“As such, Mawaru Penguindrum and Shiki rank comfortably on the top of my favorite series list…”
Welp, don’t tell Scamp, but I think he just dropped to second in the rankings of bloggers on this blog.
well slap some butter on me and call me bread because holy shit
Sorry Scamp, I just can’t keep it a secret any longer. I’m the next one joining The Cart Driver!
Et tu, Rapte?
Lol Scamp’s defense mechanism for losing so early in the Aniblog Tourney. Still someone who has Penguindrum on top of their favorite list must be an awesome guy.
Aria one of the new writers favourite anime…
WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!?!?
it appears that you’ve ushered in a little good taste around here.
I agree.
But that’s the best anime he mentioned. Why must your taste be so shitty Scamp?
“stupid as physically possible” – does Puni Puni Poami fall into this category? I could feel brain cells dying when I watched it many summers ago.
Also, didn’t mention this on Shinmaru’s post, but welcome aboard. I like having other views of shows that I’m debating watching.
Puni Puni Poemy definitely falls under that category, even if it loses steam in its second act. When something is that balls to the wall insane, I can’t help but at least admire its sheer gall.

You know I’m right.
Now I wanna join.
Can I join?
I could become the legendary worst writer of them all!
..Who enters every sentence!
Also, don’t forget the exclamation points!
I am by far THE best choice to recruit to being a cart driver next, even if my methods of driving grocery carts are a little odd. (Hands upside down holding the corners for best control!)
Fecking hell you kept this quiet!
By the way, I assure everyone here that I have not been approached by Scamp. It ensures that no one with worse taste than his would be writing here.
If it makes you feel any better, I would totally invite you to join my blog, except I don’t really play well with others.
Vuc has formed a cluster of stars, now Scamp has gathered a circle of carts. You guys should go on a camping trip together or something.
Glad to see the good news that you’re joining Scamp and Shinmaru here. Can’t wait to get back to reading your fantastic posts again and whatever potential collab things you guys have planned for in the future. Congratz on the move!
Taste in anime aside, anyone who says “hi” with the sickle and hammer is good in my book.
I’m the blogger of the people, so I only felt it fitting.
Not fully relevant to this but… Why does it also have Mefloraine (Meffy-chan) in the authors widget on the side? Is she going to be another addition to this team blog? There’s a scheme a foot, me’thinks.
Not sure how I feel about Cart Driver going team. Could be good, could be bad. I guess I’m watching this experiment intently ^^
Better than us having to sit through article after article of Scamp’s shitty taste.
Ditto. Him and his opinions. How dare he.
Opinions are just inherent wrongness masquerading under the guise of subjectivity, at least when they don’t align with my own.
Wait, do you even know what’s written in the picture? :D
Your web site appears to be having some compatibilty
problems in my ie browser. The content appears to be running off the webpage pretty bad.
If you would like you can email me at: irma.gonzalez@yahoo.
