After writing a bizzilion posts in the past two weeks (rough estimate), every show I have to write about this new season is over and done with. Strike Witches I haven’t seen the first season for, same with Sengoku Basara. Campanella is a h-game adaptation with cuteness and girls being insufferably nice to one another, which is pretty much my cryptonite so I have no intention of watching that. The only other one left is Asobi no Ikuyo, which is the second coming of To-Love-Ru so I’ve got no interest in that. So it’s time for the good old season status update, which have become just as much a part of the new season routine as anything else.
Occult Academy was the one I chose before the season began and, by good luck, ended up being the only show I’m interested in blogging after the first episode anyway. Better yet, it only lasts one-cour so it fits in with my plans to go all-out next season. Hetalia World Series is…well, I outlined my problems with it in the last post. I think I’ll start posting my Hetalia posts in line with the Rumbel subs. This does mean I’ll be 2–3 episodes behind the rest of the world, but I don’t think that matters all that much with Hetalia anymore. It’s not like I’m competing for readers with anyone. Of course various things might happen, like Rumbel speed up their subs, die altogether, another half-decent group picks it up and so on, so I’ll play it as I see it. That’s it for episodic blogging. I should be able to finish ‘no anime is dropped forever’ before next season and the bulk of my content for the next 3 months will be editorial.
Also, Black Lagoon is awesome. You should feel bad about not having watched it yet.

I share your feelings about this season. People complain all the time about this or that season being terrible, but this one really is subpar. I’ve only got on definite and three probationary series myself.
Hoping that Rumbel Subs picks up the pace and gets back to their usual quick releases. I think you made the right choice for how to make future posts on it.
Rumbel just released episode 15 (god am I late replying to people here. sorry about that) so hopefully that’s a good sign of things to come
Aww.. I looked forward to your Hetalia episodics every week.. Ah well, I’ll go and look forward to Occult Academy now!
I hopefully won’t have to stop blogging Hetalia. It attracts too many hits to stop ‘(^_^) But yeah, Rumbel are picking up so all should be right with the world
I liked Occult Academy as well, although it didn’t blow me away. Besides that, High School of the Dead, and Ookami-san (neither of which I’m not sure I’ll even complete), I haven’t found any of the summer shows really interesting at all. The upside is using that time for anime catch up and completing some awesome shows from the past (like Black Lagoon).
I’m using this time to get a good chunk of the way through Galactic Heroes, which I’m sure many would agree that’s a great use of some free time
(although don’t tell those people I’m a little bit dissapointed. It’s very good, but not quite as great as people made it out to be)
Well, you succeeded in making me feel bad. I’ll get to watching Black Lagoon one day…
Gonna start watching Occult Academy, even if it takes an eternity for me to download the episodes.
