Chart design changed again. If you have any problems with it then leave a comment and I’ll ignore you all take those constructive criticisms to heart and improve the chart.

For foreign language versions, I haven’t been providing translatable versions thus far because I’d rasterized the text in the photoshop versions, making the text uneditable. This time I actually thought this through…well, somewhat .It might be a bit difficult to decipher my nonsensical labeling and folder distribution.

Hey, you listened to my suggestion about adding the Japanese names :D

Lets see.. Sket Dance, C, Tiger & Bunny, and WORLD GOD ONLY KNOWS SEASON 2

  2. Posted December 28, 2010 at 7:56 pm | Permalink

Looks like I already know I’ll be watching C.

In America!! They should just give up, there’s no way they’ll top card games on motorcycles.

I’ll be watching C, Gintama and Moshidora(Only because her name is Minami. There is no way that’s a coincidence). It is also kind of sad that Kampfer has another season…

What’s that C about? There’s no story description + can’t find it on the net.
@Scamp you could also add the anime genre. It’l give a better idea about what to expect from the anime.
*Gulps when reading the discription of Lotte’s Toy, ‘I am so tempted to watch it’ sudden nosebleed.*

‘Genre’ is a fuzzy concept at the best of times. It’s better to stick to concrete facts

I actualy meant it like this for example: I don’t like the genre harem going together with Romance. It’s mostly a compilation of crap. Anime with those 2 genre are rarely any good. This way choosing would get easier.

  8. Posted December 28, 2010 at 10:14 pm | Permalink

Even if the description doesn’t sound all that great, I gotta check out Electromagnetic Wave Woman & Adolescent Man for the name alone.

Maria Holic! I’d given up all hope of ever getting a second season…

I must’ve thought Sket Dance was okay enough to read 70 chapters of it. So even if I barely remember it, I suppose I’ll give it a chance. I’ll give C, Deadman Wonderland, Tea for Universe, Showa Era, Stein’s Gate and World’s First Love a chance. Maybe Blue Exorcist, or Tiger and Bunny, or even Daily as well. Maybe even that Shaft show.

  11. Posted December 28, 2010 at 11:53 pm | Permalink

    Moshidora all the way.

I’m still only 100 episodes through the first season =|

Thanks for the chart! Sket Dance was a pretty awesome manga so I’ll definitely give the anime a try. Other than that I’ll probably try an episode or two of most of the anime in the chart to test the water when I’ve got the time.

  14. Posted December 29, 2010 at 1:41 am | Permalink

Man, you’ve officially got me hyped at C!

Although Lotte’s Toy is the surefire hit of the season. Obviously. That sounds like pure entertainment, and nothing like otaku-pandering softcore porn.

Seriously, there seems to be a lot of stuff that’s hard to judge. There’s premises that don’t sound like the same out tired and recycled things, yet not interesting enough to know if they’ll work. Just have to see.

  15. Posted December 29, 2010 at 2:20 am | Permalink

Strange, “A Bridge To The Starry Skies” and “A Channel” seem to have almost the exact same poses from the girls in their respective photos.

They also both have the letter “A” as the first word in their respective titles.

They also don’t interest me one bit.

I’ll watch maybe TWGOK, Maria Holic, and Kamfer. No, believe it or not, that isn’t sarcasm. I actually like the worst shows out there.

    • Posted December 29, 2010 at 2:20 am | Permalink

And then there’s of course Gintama and anything that gets good reviews.

  16. Posted December 29, 2010 at 2:51 am | Permalink

    Hey Scamp,
if you like mushy stuff, I would advise against watching Deadman. That manga is occasionally sad, sometimes mysterious, and almost always exceptionally violent.
As long as the studio does a good job, Deadman should be awesome :P

    Oh boy.

Also, Sket Dance, Gintama, Toriko? Awesome Jump season ahead.

Jump keeps burning me with Letter Bee, Fail-y Tail, Nurarara and recently Bakuman is a disappointment

World’s first love- omg there you are rare yaoi anime
It’s too early to tell and i don’t want to think about considering my winter anime list, but there’s a lot of potential. Maybe it’s because I’m not picky and am easily amused.

  19. Posted December 29, 2010 at 11:13 am | Permalink

“Attention Duelists!” Gets me every time…

Looks like this season will be the best we’ve seen for ages. I mean, it seems more and more entertaining and extreme, even. We have the likes of Lotte no Omocha and Deadman Wonderland, which had wonderful manga runs so far.

But given the chances of the studios fucking everything up….I can only cross my fingers.

    Whoa, this is unexpectedly early!

    …Gintama! I am content XD

    Posted December 29, 2010 at 6:58 pm | Permalink

Deadman has got an actractive storyline. Don’t you think?
Blue Excorsist will pass for me if it’s got enough quality fighting scenes. Lotte’s Toy manga wasn’t that ecchi/hentai, so don’t expect to much, but it is still pretty good. And sb tell me what that C is about!

…Gintama, I really, really am looking forward to.

  23. Posted December 29, 2010 at 9:55 pm | Permalink

Hmmm~ Sket dance, DEADMAN WONDERLAND YES~~~ Daily sounds cute. If it’s not moe, and more like Azumanga Daioh, I will watch it. The Hanasaku Iroha art looks really cute too. She looks so fluffy~ But I’m not sure about the plot. Sounds kinda boring. Maybe gonna watch that sex ed things, just to laugh about the probably ridiculous advice that will be about dealing with women. Tiger and Bunny….. the outfit of the girl looks cute.

Looks nice so far..hmmm….whats that…. YAOI ANIME? HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG YES YES YES *dances around*

….and I thought nobody would ever have hair more ridiculous than Yugi.

Lol, so it’s no longer Gintama, but Gintama apostrophe. Anyway, yay for all the shounen Jump animes coming out in Spring!

So far, it seems that so far there is only one Noitamina show announced. Or perhaps either Fractale or Wandering Son will run over two seasons?

    • Scamp
      Posted December 31, 2010 at 12:50 pm | Permalink

I’m not 100% sure on the naming of Gintama’. It’s almost like Gintama decided there was no gap between seasons and want us to think the next episode is episode 202

      • hikaru
        Posted January 1, 2011 at 7:57 am | Permalink

Oh, I thought it was just the creators being stupid with the whole ‘naming a sequel’ thing. I remember there was one episode where they were talking about sequel titles and were saying things like ‘just add a 2/X/Y/Z/exclamation mark/shippuden at the end’. And Gintama apostrophe is definitely 100% ridiculous =D Just like GIntama itself.

Quite a few shows I’m interested in this time:

Deadman Wonderland, Toriko, Sket Dance, C, Steins Gate, that tea one from Bee Train, Daily, Moshidora, Under the Innocent Sky.

    Appleseed XIII (steampunk!)
    Sket Dance (it looked pretty)
    Deadman Wonderland (sounds trippy)
    Stein’s Gate (Female leads?!)
Blue Exorcist (I… am still obsessed with D.Gray-man and can’t resist anything with the word “exorcist” in it)
    X-Men (I am a loyal Marvel fan)

  28. Posted December 31, 2010 at 6:20 am | Permalink

i laughed out loud at your description of x-men. good job.

c is the only one im mildly interested in right now. need moar info.

oh heck, since everyone else is doing it

    Appleseed (I’m gay for Shirow)
Sket Dance (don’t burn me again Jump)
    C (Noitami-fucking-na)
Deadman Wonderland (looks oh so fucking awesome)
Electro-wave (You never know with Shaft)
Steins;Gate (VN adaptations usually suck, but there’s something about this one that caught my eye)
Tea for Life (Best selling mature manga)
Daily (read a bit of the manga. Mildly amusing absurdist comedy and I like absurdist comedy)
Moshidora (Production IG and best selling award winning novel)
Health Education for 30’s (because I could probably use some of the advice…)
Blue Exorcist (Shounen keeps burning me but you never know)

Oooh, I would like to add this: I made a special attempt to make ‘A Bridge to the Starry Skies’ appear as generic as possible, which is must be said the actual synopsis of the anime made that pretty easy. Yet I go to a bunch of forums this chart was posted on and so many people claim they’re looking forward to it. Goddamit anime fans, STOP LAPPING UP THIS CRAP! Did you read the synopsis? Generic male lead goes to new town and performs trip and kiss manouvere? I didn’t even mention his spirited younger sister. And yet so many people claim they are looking forward to that series? eurgh…

  31. Posted January 2, 2011 at 3:16 pm | Permalink

    Ahhh~ Gonna watch C too, since it’s by Noitamina~
But the Shaft one… “self- proclaimed alien”, huh? Sounds for me like they gonna rip off the success they had with Nino-san.
