Sekai Seifuku Episode 1: Here Bygynneth the Seifuku of Sekai

On a dark unlit night, date unknown
The seeds of sekai seifuku had grown
Wandering lonely streets, homeless and alone
Is our protagonist, hunger in tow
Though short of funds he has great ability
In chancing upon fierce, grey-haired lolis
Though young in appearance, her trappings betray
A leader of great charisma and great sway
In less than a minute, our protag fickle
Is entranced by this walking sex-offender registry
On a characteristically childish pink tricycle.

Though I broke the format just that one time
I had to, because that holy shit that fucking line
Normally lines aren’t that perfect
I don’t want to rhyme again with perfect
Seriously fuck rhyming with perfect
Anyway, back on topic, before I forget
How does world destruction a loli beget?
She has potential, that much I know
But to use it, she needs more greatness in tow
Thankfully the world is easier to take
Because she commands a skeleton that eats cake

And though prevalently light in tone
There’s a darkness that seeps through the bone
Why is martial law considered the norm
If the army doesn’t oppress in some form?
I see it as a treatise meant to to impress
On the military-industrial complex
There’s plenty to analyze and parse
Though it’d be just as cool as a farce

The protag is shit, but what do you expect?
We’re here for dumb action, to watch tanks get wrecked.
There’s more to it than wanton mayhem
Hell, it could have the makings of a gem
In spite of the disparate elements
Everything eases well into alignment
The pacing is quick, the characters colorful
It’s never a grueling chore, like watching Shuffle!

Though an exploding octopus doesn’t hurt
Neither would Kate putting on an actual shirt
At least her statue at the start is tasteful,
But let’s hope the show doesn’t get wasteful.
Is world domination by Kate really so bad?
I don’t think so; it seems pretty fucking rad.

Enjoy blogging your non-exploding octopus shows, SUCKamp and LOSERmaru.

Best poetry of the three, hands down.
And no, I wouldn’t mind a world ruled by these clowns.

It’s not always easy to rhyme with perfect,
But if you try it’ll really be worth it.

Effect, collect, child neglect? Seriously Inushinde, give it a re-write and try to fit child neglect in.

But that ‘perfect’ sequence was still in the right format.

I wasn’t complaining, this is my favourite of the three.

Loving the Poet Driver so far, these have been great fun to read. And yeah, you definitely got the best deal out of the three. I think this one could definitely turn out pretty awesome.

“Bah,” I say to all these rhymes,
These reviews are not fun times!
You lost the FAL, now pay the price
Having fun would be too nice
You’re supposed to cringe and cry
Hate, despair, and scream out “WHY?”
Then you take the show apart
    Explore the writing, story, art,
Explain to us in great detail
    What exactly makes it fail
Tell us what we need to know,
So we’re glad we dropped this show.
Like your namesake, you three should
Do this for the greater good

That is all well and good,
      but from what I understood
      if you wanted Inu sad,
your choice of show was very bad!
The only way to make it so
      was asking “Blog us ImoCho!”

I know. The one who chose the show
was too forgiving, or way too slow.

I like to think how much drama this anime would create if it was released on general TV with the loli wearing that… what the hell would that even be called? Two strips of cloth?

Also I can safely say with only seeing this one episode and the ending song, it would be better if the main protagonist was dead.

So I’m 99% certain you weren’t trying very hard (if at all) to fit iambic pentameter here but it’s funny how close it is (usually each line is between 9 and 11 syllables). Also enjoyed the metafictional second stanza. Definitely the best one out of the three, 10/10, would read again.

I’d run it over once in my head before adding it in, but I was cool with approximating. I was also going to actually write it in Middle English, but I’m not going to put THAT much effort into making something illegible to the layman.

I could get used to poetry blogging. :)
May consider actually trying out some of these shows.

Funny that Inushinde gets the best show. Just goes to show how working hard to win is for LAME-Os.

    Die, dog.

Seriously, good job screwing poetry and making it 20% cooler.
