Sometimes, late at night, when I should have long since gone to bed, I instead go on endless image-hunts. Trawling across image-boards for whatever strikes my fancy. Often they come in use for blog posts but more often then not I have no use for them whatsoever. Because these hunts are undertaken so late at night, my brain isn’t exactly functioning properly and the next morning I tend to forget I’ve gone on one of these late-night trawls. Much like a college student forgetting about a previous night’s party until he looks at his camera and finds pictures of himself in a lap-dancing club with some transvestites, the evidence of these hunts only comes apparent when I open my image folder the next day. I’ve just taken a bunch of pictures for the latest episodic post but when I go to inspect the screencaps, I’m also greeted with a picture of a whale wearing Alucard’s hat.
What the artist was thinking I do not know. Equally baffling is what on earth I was thinking I would use this picture for. What sort of instance would a picture of a whale wearing Alucard’s hat come in use? In the end, I could only think of one post in which I could use this picture. You’re reading it.

Sometimes image trawling when you’re up late and are not incapacity of your mind are more fun than usual image trawls.

You could write about how Hellsing is a whale of a series. Seems like the only other way to use it, because I don’t think Alucard is a gambler.
