    :(

    You’re still loved? And I’m not seeing it either? Funimations speed subs aren’t that great anywho?

    I never quite understand why they make these streams US only. I don’t think they only ship to the U.S. afterall.

    The world outside the US is always neglected — long live fansubbers!

    Be glad you at least speak English and can take advantage of one of the largest fansub communities…

    That’s your fault for being so Irish. Stop being so Irish.

    @LuffyLuffy Alas. I don’t blame them for not wanting to tangle with Funimation though, but it still makes me sad.

    Stupid Funimation.

    Hey, it goes both ways. Here in the USA we can’t stream Doctor Who legally.

    @Janette

    Because apparently nobody outside North America wants anime

    @Caraniel

    I’d like to support legal streams, I really would…but yeah, long live fansubbers

    @vucubcaquix

    Or I could live with the moonpeople and watch anime on tv there

    @luffyluffy

    The gg spinoff group pretentious are doing this

    @Dandrews

    pfft, time for FANSUBS!!!

    @winabagel

    @Hellomotto

    QFT

    @kadian1364

    I do my best to advertise legal streams so I do

    I’d also love to sing the praises of legal streams — and I do pay my Crunchyroll Subscription like a good child. However every time I see ‘Sorry this is not available in your area’ another bit of my extremely limited patience gets chipped away :roll:

    I am dirt poor so this doesn’t concern me at all, but poop! Is USA the only liberal nation where fansub is not policed strongly (unless it’s youtube or veoh)?

  16. Posted April 17, 2010 at 10:37 pm | Permalink

    @Poro I really don’t know US policy on fansubs nor the extent to which the government can effectively control them, but I’m assuming that they are doing an extensive effort in taking these videos down. These fansub groups are like weeds: root one out, and two of them pop up the next day. Seeing as though fansubs are pervasive and nearly ubiquitous, it’s really hard to totally eliminate all of them.
    Again, I must emphasize that this is purely conjecture and I have no real facts to back my statement up.

    That should have went like ‘the Internet has left me in despair’ ~
