Hetalia World Series episode 2

This episode…

had Greece in it

and Japan.

here’s a picture of them

they don’t do much.

and have long gaps

between everything they say

Greece is very…

laid back.

and Japan is…

too polite to say anything.

That’s me watching this episode.

Japan and Greece

Most boring combo of all time

And a bunch of fangirls will write yaoi based on it

XD Yeah, it was pretty boring. You poor soul. At least there aren’t all that many strips of them together. They’ve got one more episode of those two coming and then I think they’ve run out. Not to mention that episode has Turkey who’s not nearly as polite or laid back.

Good thing these episodes are short, eh?

That’s why it works better in manga.
At least you’re going to have Turkey next week (who sounds too young)?

And for those commentors about to mention if they’re animate THAT strip *coughcough* I doubt it since they usually go with the published versions (although the Lihi strips went backwards).

    .. it’s funny..

Greece is voiced by the same Seiyu as Prussia

    Soak that in.

    Also, I love you Scamp.

    What was that.

    I forgot.

The gaps were so long I forgot what they were talking about.

‘kay, as much as I love Greece/Japan, that was. What was that? Really.

I think the America and Japan combo just beat that. ….

Well, I really liked the strip with Greece, Japan AND Turkey, which I believe is next, so hopefully it’ll be a lot funnier to see Greece and Turkey go for each other’s throats whilst Japan tries to make peace.

Holy crap I haven’t reviewed in ages. I suppose that means I have a life now.

I had a feeling that you wouldn’t like this episode.
I was surprised you didn’t write about the Chibitalia portion in the beginning. It actually made a lot of people in the fandom throw up, so you’re not the only one getting tired of it.

The slash fangirls ate this episode up though.
The next episode is also Greece and Japan, but with Turkey thrown in, so that should spice things up a bit.

I’ve been actually wanting to write Giripan for a while…

    But Japan will be seme.

    And it will involve Tentacles.

    Do not underestimate me.

I wonder, why is it that they animated the Chibitalia & HRE part of the strip, yet not the Austria and Hungary part? D: That was definitely MUCH cuter imo.

yeah i watched this ep and was like

    “…this one’s for the fangirls isn’t it…”

  12. Posted April 11, 2010 at 4:27 am | Permalink

@Kiseki – Yes, I was one of those fangirls wondering if this episode would wind up with Greece and Japan in bed, like in the strip… but probably they’re not going to give us that…

@Scamp – LOL – And you thought America and Japan were boring together! Greece looks like he’s been shot with a tranquilizer dart! The cats were more exciting to watch!

    P.S @LUFFY – You make my day.

Also, Greece = Prussia made my head explode.

    Death taxes and yaoi fangirls

Not just my soul. Think of the people worldwide who had to watch these two as well!

    I love me too

I think I need to read up on the history before I watch the next episode

I’m just going to ignore chibitalia from now on. It’s not like I watch those segments anymore

Fangirls like that? I thought fangirls had taste and shipped IzayaXShizuo!

Last time I say something bad about Japan and America. And yes, the cats were indeed more interesting to watch

(*unrelated to anyone comment: Google Chrome sucks. Whenever I copy someones name to reply to them it sticks them all in capital letters while Firefox puts them back in lower case. Guess I’m sticking with Firefox*)

I can’t think of a Hetalia duo more boring than Greece and Japan. They were actually much less boring in the original, since… every… sentence… wasn’t… like this. More Giripan next episode too, but at least there’s some pale young-sounding Turkey to go along with it.

  16. Posted April 11, 2010 at 7:07 pm | Permalink

Wait, what the fuck did I miss over the night!? Another pale Mediterranean!? *goes to check*

You’re going to skip Chibitalia kicking Turkey’s ass too? D: (If it ever gets animated.)

    Turkey? Where?!
I’m definitely watching it next week…
I don’t really like Giripan, or Chibitalia, but an episode of Hetalia is an episode of Hetalia. I’ll find something else to laugh at, apart from the countries.

heee…. i want to see his ‘true’ face…
what’s the matter with the white mask?

    so much cats…in this episode…

Next episode has more Greece and Japan, but also apparently TURKEY who I love in the strips and really want to see animated. Plus he hates Greece because…some long backhistory that has something to do with the Ottoman Empire. I think.

And his character info sheet says he’s a ‘masked uncle’. HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE A GUY DESCRIBED AS SUCH!? IT’S JUST NOT POSSIBLE.

This must’ve been the easiest blog post you’ve written for Hetalia (or for any other series, for that matter). xDDD

Well, there was this one or two strips of them two that were a bit funny. Not really omglmfao, but just a smile and chuckle.

Y’know, if you watch this episode again after seeing CNN and Greece economy woes and debts… it makes you think.

The seiyuu’s performance for Greece was the most awful thing I’ve heard in a long time.It butchered the whole episode. Also as Prussia I find him anacceptably exagerating. He destroyed both of the characters.
