Fall 2010 Chart v2 and Winter 2011 Chart v1

I was going to wash my hands of the Fall Chart but eh, I made a new one so why not stick it up.

So what’s been changed? I’ve put all the shows in airing order along with their airing dates. The OVA’s are actually properly researched this time around (huge thanks to Moetron for that. Moonphase is miserable for trying to figure out OVA’s). There’s also the continuing OVA’s. Still no movies, but that’s because western audiences won’t see the movies when they’re released in Japan, so it’s pointless putting them on.

It’s been a hell of a learning experience making this thing and I can assure you later renditions of the charts will be a lot better. Especially when it comes to behind the scenes stuff. It may look relatively well organised there but behind the scenes is an absolute mess. So don’t ask me to change this chart. I don’t think I even could…

Oh yeah, I said Winter chart didn’t I?

I’m a little bit iffy about putting Wolverine in. It’s meant to air after Ironman and Ironman is only one-cour long so that obviously means it’s airing this winter. But I can’t find any confirmation of that so take Wolverine’s addition with a pinch of salt.

Anyway, hopefully later renditions of these charts will be better now that I’ve gotten the hang of things a bit. Please do offer any recommendations on how I can improve these things. Unlike the Fall Chart, this Winter Chart is a lot better organised behind the scenes and I can actually change things without searching through endless layers of rubbish.

One last thing. For those of you looking for a feed you can subscribe to that will give you just the charts, you can subscribe here. If you’re already subscribed to my regular feed then you’ll get the charts on that one anyway. However if you don’t like my regular posts and only want the charts, then subscribe to that feed and that’s all you’ll get. Obviously I’d prefer it if you subscribed to my regular feed, but I accept that my writing obviously won’t appeal to everyone. Hence, there’s the chart feed for you folk. For those of you who don’t use a feed reader and just want to know instantly when you visit the site whether there’s a new chart or not, just go to the ‘charts’ link at the top of the page. That will be updated whenever I post a new chart.

    1. Fractale, Gosick and Hourou Musuko all look good. Supernatural and Beezlebub for outside bets.

Pretty much the same as any winter season tbh. Plus there will still be another 3-5 not announced yet

      1. Well, I am interested in Gosick, but when I’m picking up 12 shows in fall and 1 show in winter… ugh

    1. December. So I’m counting it as Winter season show. Which means I should have put it in the winter chart but I’m waiting for confirmation that it’s actually something regularly airing rather than a one or two episode thing

      1. True that. I never thought of the possibility of it not being a full series…. WAIT THAT CAN STILL BE ON THE CHART!?

It better be some long shitty omnibus-format series like Amagami SS. They have sooo much material to work off of. (Twelve games and I lost track of the drama CDs already but there are probably at least thirty….)

Oh, has there been a certain amount of episodes announced for Bakuman. yet? From the promo image I saw on Comic Natalie it doesn’t like they’ll get too far…

  1. oh wow, hourou musuko anime in winter? i need to finish reading the manga. it’s a really nice series, really mature themes while still keeping that cute-kid atmosphere. might be the only thing i check out as well as fractale possibly once more info comes out.

    1. I’d heard good things about hourou musuko before this. I already had it on my to-watch list before it was announced it was airing in Noitamina, which guarantees my attention

  2. I wonder if Beelzebub is something for me~
I really love comedy, but it musn’t be based on sex jokes and the characters have to be likeable. Also I really like girly anime. And Fractale does sound interesting, but also depressing.
I will certainly watch Hourou Musuko.

  3. Horou musuko is a breath of fresh air as far as themes go. While the setting is a familiar one the subject matter it covers is quite different. I hope the anime does the manga justice.
