12 Days of Anime #2: Most Dangerous Engagement

To follow up from yesterday’s Watamote post, I have a fool-proof quick and easy way to get yourself a boyfriend or a girlfriend if you’re a massive loser otaku. Are you ready for it? Start an anime blog. No really, trust me on this, it works for both genders. Start an anime blog and write for at least 3 years. Travel to meet other anime bloggers and get to know them a little via twitter or skype. It doesn’t matter if they are literally on the other side of the globe, this method has been proven to work no matter the distance. Then boom, you have yourself your otaku waifu who will eventually propose to you using a DVD of an 80s hyperviolent terribad OVA.

most dangerous proposalHey, it worked for me.

Starting a blog and maintaining it for at least 3 years while actively traveling, potentially across the world, and networking with other bloggers

    “quick and easy.”

OK maybe not quick, but I didn’t even know of this method and it only took me 3 years. I’m sure for those who follow me it would take about 3 weeks

    >Gets engaged thanks to anime
    >#2 anime-related moment of the year
Y’know, some might be led to believe that your priorities are a bit off.

I know right. Bet he’s gonna put senjougahara above his wife, not that I would blame him.

It isn’t in order, but also once you see the one in first, you’ll understand why it had to be there

1 – “Start an anime blog and write for at least 3 years” – okay, check.

2 – “Travel to meet other anime bloggers and get to know them a little via twitter or skype” – Yeap. Check.

    3 – Otaku Waifu get?….nope

    I’m doing something wrong aren’t I?

Something is wrong. I’ve done all the research. You must not actually be a blogger or something. Have you tried talking about how great Code Geass is?

MD Geist: a much more ethical engagement ring base than a diamond.

Actually MD Geist dvds are mined in south america and used to fund drug lords.

Congratulations m8. I hope to see a marriage post not too long in the future. Best of luck.

Be sure to put out a wedding registry for us. I expect it to be at least 75% DVD’s of Terribad anime.

The harem ending + 100% completion takes a lot longer.

    Haha,

I remember your waifu talking about this proposal a while back. I am glad she went through with it.

    In all seriousness, congratulations. :)

p.s. I can’t add any personal anecdotal evidence to your claim of “start a blog->get waifu”, but there are a few other anime bloggers who have had similar success as well.

I trust it’ll be a Mad Bull 34-themed wedding? Hopefully not a reenactment, because a wedding in a hospital bed isn’t cool.
